Enable Microsoft authentication on Formality to allow all your teams to sign in with one click, securely, without a password and without complex user-side configuration.

Prerequisites

Before starting, check that:

  • You have a Microsoft 365 admin account (this is required to authorize SSO access).

  • The Microsoft admin user already exists in Formality (as a member or admin).

The user must already exist in Formality. If you do not yet have an account, ask your Formality administrator to create one for you.

2

Authorize SSO for your entire organization

During sign-in, Microsoft displays a consent screen. This is what enables SSO for all users in your organization.

  • The screen shows "Formality SSO" with an access request:

    • View basic profile information

    • Maintain access to approved data

  • Check the box : "Consent on behalf of your organization"

This step activates Microsoft SSO for all your colleagues.

  • Click on "Accept".

3

Notify your teams

SSO is now activated for your entire organization. Users can sign in:

  1. From the Formality sign-in page

  2. By simply clicking on "Sign in with Microsoft"

  3. Using their usual Microsoft 365 credentials

Note: Accounts must match between Microsoft and Formality (same email address or same UPN).

Need help?

Here’s what to check if a user encounters a sign-in problem:

  1. Does the email address match in Microsoft and in Formality?

  2. Did the user use the “Sign in with Microsoft” button?

  3. Did you check “Consent on behalf of your organization” when authorizing SSO?

If in doubt, our teams are available to help you.
