If you encounter a blockage when importing a document, here are the three most frequent causes and how to resolve them:

1. The document is already on the platform

Formality detects duplicates to prevent the same file from being imported multiple times. Check whether the contract does not already appear in your Agreements.

2. The format is not accepted

Only the PDF is supported by Formality. If your file is in .docx, .png or any other format, convert it to PDF before importing it.

3. The file is too large

An overly large document can block the addition. In this case, split it into several separate files:

  • one file for the main contract

  • one or more files for annexes or amendments

This way, each item will remain clearly identified and usable by your teams.
