When you “chat” with an Agreement in Formality, you use our contextual AI Assistant to:

Read the entire document for you, even if it spans dozens or hundreds of pages
Instantly find a specific clause or section
Explain legal jargon in clear and simple language
Summarize the content of one or more documents contained in the Agreement envelope (main contract, annexes, amendments, etc.)

Instead of manually scanning a PDF, you can simply ask:

“What is the termination clause in this lease?” or “Summarize the supplier’s service level obligations.”

From your contract library, click the "View" button of the Agreement you want to analyze.

A side panel will open.

Make sure the option "Chat with: [Agreement Name]" is enabled to contextualize the Assistant’s responses.

Clause headings indicating the title and section number
